It's not the utterance of the word per se. It's the timing and the wrong place to mouth it. NASCAR is bound to maintain a certain "clean, family-oriented" posture. For the fans. And the "sensitive" merchandise sponsors, ya know...
And DA, you'll never understand this form of insanity. It's not that kind of "education" for you.
...and with that, I broke the 1K post hymen. yay.

I don't know about the elite, but the girly-man...hmm?
I still say it's "Shit" because of the cirumstances. It wasn't uttered out of anger
with another driver IOW "Poor Sportsmanship"
It was said by someody who was stoked about
about his win as it put him on top of the points race.
I just feel with all the crap kids can see on cable at any time of the day, that a "shit" uttered in happiness is the least of our worries.

Well, if they feel like they want/have to do something about the "language" in general I think a fine is acceptable (though not necessarily in this particular instance). But it is inexcusable that they would actually take points away and potentially affect the outcome of the championship over what happened in this specific case. That's just petty (and I don't mean Richard).

I don't watch Nascar, but I browsed over to CNN.si to see what this was about.
After a victory, he's asked how he feels about the win and says "It don't mean shit, my Daddy won here 10 times."
They were bent out of shape over THAT???
Have you ever heard an interview with an NFL or NBA player after they LOST???
Obviously the ruling body of Nascar never belches or flatulates, has their excrement surgically removed in a sterile room (but the feces is completely odor-free) and have never been decently laid in their lifetimes. (their sister's don't count)

If i were Jr. id sue nascar for emotional dammages for exploiting the image of his dead father and not allowing him the closure he needs.
...and id settle out of court for 26-points and $11,000.
